Welcome to the Monroe Clark Library!

Library Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Wednesday 7am to 1pm
Open During Lunch (when classes allow)

Services:

- Six desktop computers and thirty wireless laptops with internet access that can "surf" the web, access district-approved databases and web-based Accelerated Reader quizzes, and access a student file server to save work.

- Four computers for the public access catalog. Students can look up books by subject, author, or title.

- A collection containing approximately 50,000 titles or about 30 books per student. This exceeds the state standard of 25 books per student!

- A small collection of books in Spanish and a smaller collection of books in Vietnamese.

- A librarian offering assistance to students and teachers regarding books appropriate for students' interest and reading levels and instruction on the use of various reference materials.


Programs:

California Young Reader Medal Program (CYRM). CYRM generally recommends three titles each year for middle school students. Students who wish to participate must read all three titles and then vote on their favorite book.

Rules:

Students may check out 3 books at a time for two weeks.
Students are expected to pay for any lost, stolen or damaged books.
Books range in price from $10 to $60
